Adirondack Moon

Adirondack Moon was one of the first three named plants I bought in August 1998. It was also my first plant with variegated foliage, and my first one of "the yellows". Unfortunately it died during the winter of 2000/01.

I keept this plant for sentimental reasons... It didn't grown well for me in the darker seasons, but I once put down some leaves for rooting in springtime, and the babies that popped up were very beatiful and grew rapidly.

It took three years before Adirondack Moon bloomed true for me - i.e. with semidouble-double white pansy with yellow blush, mottling. Before then the blooms were single and sometimes had a lavender shade on the reverse side, but they all had that yellow blush in the center.
